Middle Abiki is a language isolate and, despite having no native speakers, remains the lingua franca of trade, science, politics, and literature in the world of {insert unnamed world here}. While modern Abiki is mostly an fusional language, middle Abiki is largely polysynthetic, relying on multiple morphemes to convey meaning; nevertheless, the grammar is less demanding on memory than most other tongues on {unnamed world}, and this is likely the explanation as to why it has remained a popular means of international communication.
