Classification and DialectsEdit

Barian, (native: Bahuncuujujan) is the official language spoken within the Republic of Baria,in Eastern Europe, and by the Xanjuté and Jujal peoples in Romania and Ukraine, and Russia and Kazakhstan. Barian is an Isolating Language of the Sino-Tibetan language tree, the only one of it's kind within Europe, spread to the region by Chinese Traders who traveled through the mongol empire after the Northern China was bought under it's control. The Chinese traders were stranded within what is modern day Russia and so settled down, teaching local peoples the Chinese language, this was the first instance of the language, called 'Russo Hanish', becoming separate from traditional Chinese by dropping the common use of Chinese characters for the use of the Cyrillic Alphabet and adoption of Slavic vocabulary and sounds. During the 1300s, Many Hanish people migrated towards the Carpathians and Transylvania where the main population is today. There they set up a small kingdom, commonly called "Old Baria" today, in the Transylvania mountains but were quickly invaded by the Hungarians. It was under Hungarian rule that the Latin alphabet and Hungarian words came into the language. Barians were forced to resettle in what we call today Vojvodina, to make way for Hungarian noble lords. Throughout this period, much of the history is speculation as not many documents are written as the nobility preferred to write about the greatness of Hungary and Christendom, but from this we gather that they were Loyal subjects to the Hungarian crown and had fully converted to Catholic Christianity, the adoption of Latin in prayers also allowed Romance loan words to enter the language. Half of the area where modern Barians now live was invaded but the Ottoman Turks and through them southern dialects picked up Arabic, Persian and Turkish loan word. As well as this southerners converted to Islam and so words for god and many holy words were changed to that of Arabic. Chrsitian and Northern Barians were strongly against what they saw as the cursing of their language by Muslims and the Chrsitian Barian people would fight strongly against the ottomans destroying roads and mosques in what we now regard as terror attacks.
