SyntaxEdit

The syntax of Boonglish is quite different from that of english despite only being a dialect of it. Sentences are formed in the following structure: Modifier + Subject + Tense + Article + Verb + Preposition + Object. For example: Ä håv du läkkiz fô jö means I like you, but more literally translates to: I have the likes for you. Tenses are determined based off of the conjugation of the english verb "To have" and the ending of the verb. The conjugation of "to have" determines the time of the tense (past, present, or future) and whether it is continuous. The ending of the verb determines wether the tense is simple or perfect.
