Possible metaphor: School district wiki : You wrote some articles in a wiki as a pupil ^[1] that seem no longer adequate but first you couldn't do any better and later it seemed like a waste of time to modify them.

^[1] Another explanation for subconscious associations becoming unreliably is not that you are (metaphorically) "a very young child" or "a pupil" but (metaphorical) lack of education. ^[2]

^[2] This could lead to the conclusion that you might want to make a serious effort to take care of the education of other people to defend yourself against the (vague and unreliable) risk of being brought to take the view of the other.
