Forshlandic /fɔɹʃlændɪk/ (Førslansk /fø(ɻ)ʂlɑnsk/) is a constructed language concieved on 8/18/2011 whilst reasearching and reading about North Germanic languages such as Icelandic and Faroese. Forshlandic is a naturalistic conlang heavily influenced by North Germanic languages.

SettingEdit

Forshlandic is one of the official languages in the country of Forshland. Forshland is a fictional island in the Norwegian sea that has been inhabited by Vikings and the decendants of Vikings for centuries.

ClassificationEdit

Forshlandic is a North Germanic conlang. It's heavily influenced by Icelandic and Faroese. Norwegian also has a good influence on the syntax and grammar of the language. German also has an influence on the vocabulary. Forshlandic basically has the archiac vocabulary of Icelandic, the unique phonology of Faroese, and the simple grammar of Norwegian.
