Gurcaj is a language aimed at learning facility, and ability to be typed more easily. While the grammar at times can be difficult, the small vocabulary and agglutionation of a few morphemes can make up for it. The vocabulary comes from dozens of different languages, especially Chinese, Germanic, Latin, Greek, Tagalog, Hindi, Swahili, Arabic, Quechua, and Farsi Persian. However, due to the syllable-based nature of the language, many of the words do not come from any natural language.
The grammar was based on the belief in a grammar starting from scratch. Thus the grammar is unlike any in the world, based on only two parts of speech, subjects and predicates, based on particles. Instead of having several distinct cases, the cases are marked on the verb rather than the nouns themselves. In addition, the line between correlatives and pronouns is taken down to simplify grammar. Finally, agglutination and marking verbs and nouns takes the place of a large vocabulary. Thus there are only a few hundred roots, which can be changed to mean several different English words. Unlike most auxlangs, which are based generally on European languages, the languages will be just as easy to speakers of Eastern languages as it will to speakers of Western languages.
