Overview Gwílya

AlphabetEdit

The vowels are : a, e, i, o, u. These vowels can be long á, é, í, ó and ú. The diphthongs are: ai, ei, oi, ui, au, eu, iu, ié, aé, oé, éo. The consonants are: c (always pronounced k), d, f, g, h, l, m, n, p, r, s, t, v, w, y. Consonant combinations: mb, gw, hy, hw, ly, ny, qu, ry, ty.

Basic GrammarEdit

The noun has three genders: feminine (ending in a, o, i, u, ié or lé and forms plural by adding r), masculine (ending in é and forms plural by replacing é with an í) and neuter (ending in a consonant and forms plural by adding y, but the nouns ending in m make plural ny, nouns ending in c make plural ty, the nouns ending in g make plural with hy)

The verb

Present tense is formed by adding and a at the singular and ar at plural: quát- to be --> na quáta- I am , et quátar- we are. The past tense is formed by adding an e and at plural er: quát --> na quáte- I was, et quáter- we were . The future is formed by adding évo and at plural évor : quát --> na quátévo- I will be
