Kanuóяā has 4 dialects:
- High Dialect — Spoken by the aristocracy and in the capital city of Persperas (Grand Light), which is located within a volcano crater. The literary language is based on this variant.
- Low Dialect — Spoken by the majority of the "measly peoples" across the Meradoringian Archipelago.
- Kraukanei (Southern Isles) Dialect — Spoken by Leyputrians of the Southern Isles. This dialect has been strongly affected by the now extinct languages of Kyle and Ichlep as well as occassional pirate raids, some of whom settled in the Southern Isles.
- Eastern Dialect — Spoken by a small minority in the northeastern marshes of Kelei and Klaikōr. Total number of speakers amounts to over 15 000. Not mutually intelligible with the High Dialect.
