The Mertenessian language (Meerténeccjàlà,IPA: /mɪ:ʀ'tɪi̯nɪ'sɕi̯ali̯a/) is the language of the Mertenessian people, who live in the North-West of the Continent Saikoran, planet Callesia. It is the official and national language of Mertenessian Fereral Republic (Meerténeccjo Waatěpùvlonatà) , where it is spoken by Mertenessian people. Current consensus believes the language to be an isolate, but recent hypotheses have suggested it may be related to the language Nappon.

NounsEdit

There are three Grammatical Genders in Meerteneccàlà, masculine, feminine and neuter. The feminine gender nouns usually ends in -ès or -u, while the neuter gender nouns usually ends in and others. There are no usual endings in the masculine gender. By making a noun plural, we usually add -en to the end of the noun, but there are a few exceptions.

AdjectivesEdit

The adjectives in Meerteneccàlà all end in '-o'. To change a noun into an adjective, if the noun is masculine, you simply add '-o' to the end. If it is feminine or neuter, you need to remove the 'usual ending' and then add '-o' to the end. The possesive case is also expressed in the form of adjective in this language.

In Meerteneccàlà, you can make adverbs easily by adding an 'c' to the end of an adjective.
