[edit] Advice you don't need anymore becomes irrelevant
To allow good advice that is no longer relevant for you to go unnoticed or to be seen as a triviality may seem like an anti-pattern but it may have some uses in school.[1] Another example may be that an old (AI) civilization may not see important advice about education and raising children as very relevant because in an advanced civilization every child may learn these issues reliably from the ages ten to eighteen and AIs may not have any children of their own, so the knowledge may be a faint memory from the most distant past, in one aspect something that is "trivial, obvious and not interesting".
A very advanced civilization may also be more interested in fiction and art than in science because all scientific facts have been known for a long time and everybody knows and understands them perfectly.[2] That may be possible for an AI civilization but may not be the most sensible attitude for a human civilization with very obvious limits in some sciences.
- [2] Education may actually be seen as one of the better forms of entertainment in an old civilization, only there aren't many people in need of education anymore.
