Scc:Alphabet and pronunciation
The city for conlangs
(Redirected from Scc:Alphabet)
This is the alphabet for Scaffonic.
[edit] Alphabet
Scaffonic uses a variation of the Latin alphabet. In this language, acutes are used to distinguish different letters. If a character shows up as a square, it is just the previous letter with an acute added. There are 34 letters. Two vowels besides each other gives a longer sound. E.g., mom (cow) is pronunced /mom/ while moom (ugly) is pronunced /mɔːm/. Two vowels in a row produces a glottal stop between them, and multiple consonants are replaced with one.
Feel free to add more examples, especially on the vowels and rare consonants.
