History Edit

Old Scois Edit

Old Scois was a language spoken and pioneered by Scaffa.

Notable Differences from Modern Scois Edit

  • H caused aspiration, not spirantization.
    • Often latinized by putting a diaresis over the following vowel (if there is one).
      • This can also stand for /h/ before vowels in pre-syllabic position
  • Words typically had /ʔ/ in-between
  • Proper Nouns were followed by "i" meaning "the". This is why masculine names always end in "-i". This is also the ancestor to "y", used to show certainty.

The Modern Scois name Bhodi (pronounced /vodi/) is written Bhod i or Böd i, and is pronounced /bʰodʔi/
