The city for conlangs
In grammar section at point #7 we can read
- When conjugating first person in plural (we = mje), one must add an “u” if it's inclusive (in other words, if the speaker includes himself among the subject of the sentence).
The inclusive first person in plural includes the hearer and not the speaker, if I'm not wrong.
You can say: "we are three conlangers" and then you can include or not the hearer, but speaker can't be leaved out because you are speaking in first person, for omiting speaker we need to use another person. Conlanger · talk ☏ 16:01, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
In other words: we are three conlangers can have the next meanings:
- you, she and I are three conlangers,
- they and I are three conlangers,
- but never,
they and youare three conlanger.
| inclusive | exlusive | |
|---|---|---|
| we | I + you ( + he or she or they) | I + any other third person/s (one or more) |
| you | you (only the hearer/s, one or more) | you + other third person/s (one or more) |
