Tambuegi is the most spoken Nasberite language. It is OSV and tripartite.

It is spoken by around 89 million people, mainly in Tambügü.

Tambuegi nouns have three genders, marked by final vowel, five cases and two numbers, marked by prefixes. The prefixes are identical for all genders.


An example of a noun:

a cat (subject of an intransitive verb) = eflä

a cat (subject of a transitive verb) = seflä

a cat (object) = ngeflä

a cat (agent) = meflä

of a cat = teflä

cats (intr.) = reflä

cats (tr.) = peflä

cats (obj.) = egeflä

cats (agent) = erdeflä


The same forms of Tambügü in respective order: Tambügü, siTambügü, ngiTambügü, miTambügü, tiTambügü, riTambügü, piTambügü, egiTambügü, erdiTambügü.

Verbs declend in perfection, person, tense, gender, aspect and mood. The order of morphemes is: Perfection-Person-Mood/Tense-Aspect-ROOT-Gender


Prefix for completed action is E-, incompleted action has no prefix.


Person prefixes are: 1st singular be-, 2nd ti-, 3rd 0-, 1st plural containing 2nd singular se-, not containing 2nd sing. re-, 2nd plural yeti-, 3rd (y)i-.


Tense/mood prefixes are: continuative 0-, present ye-, infinitive o-, imperfect di-, supine fe-, conditional si-, future (ei)cte-.


Aspect prefix for passive is ce-.


Gender suffixes are:

  • group 1: Feminine , Masculine -a, Neuter -e
  • group 2: Feminine , Masculine -o, Neuter -i
  • group 3: Feminine , Masculine -u, Neuter -0


The gender suffixes are taken from the subject.


Examples:

  • I (male) am talking = Beyeseru
  • You (female) did it (completely)! = Etidifatä!

Tambuegi is a very difficult language to speak, because it lacks vowel harmony.
