[edit] Personal Pronouns

The personal pronouns (I, you, et cetera) are seldom used in the nominative, as the subject is implied in a verb. However, the other forms are relatively common. To change from singular to plural, simply change the ending from singular to plural. They are declined like regular nouns.

Singular Plural
First Person isas, "I" isans, "we"
Second Person toras, "you" torans, "you (pl.)"
Third Person ias, "he/she/it" ians, "they"

[edit] Reflexive Pronoun

The reflexive pronoun (--self) is sues. Note that this form is genitive, as there is no nominative when the subject is the same entity. This is not the same as the demonstrative adjective below. ipsat is merely for emphasis, while the reflexive pronoun indicates that the subject of the sentence is performing something that involves itself.

Example

ahafinwenit suos domalesit.

He found himself at his home.

[edit] Demonstrative Pronouns and Adjectives

The demonstrative pronouns are as follows: has, "this"; ilas, "that".

The demonstrative adjectives are as follows: hat, "this"; ilat, "that" (the difference being that the first set can be used as a subject, as in "this is neat", while the second has to be used as an adjective, like "this cat"); ipsat, "himself/herself/itself"; and idat, "the same".

[edit] Relative Pronouns

The relative pronoun kuas is used in relative clauses, that is, those give more information about the noun it is referring to. The relative pronoun has to agree with the noun it is describing in number, but the case of the pronoun has to reflect the function of the noun in the subordinate clause. The relative pronoun can be translated as "who", "which", or "that". The interrogative adjective, as in "Which girl likes you?", is the same as the relative pronoun, but in adjective form.

Examples

puellas kuas isos asamit. "The girl who likes me."

puellas kuos asami. "The girl whom I like."

kuat puellas toros asamit? "Which girl likes you?"

kuot puellos asamis? "You like which girl?"

[edit] The Indefinite Adjective

The indefinite adjective (a certain) is kuidat.

[edit] Interrogative Pronouns

The question pronoun "who" is in Uberish kuias, while the interrogative pronoun "what" is kas.
