Classification and DialectsEdit

West Germanic English is English if it had never had contact with Old Norse, but still had contact with French.  The entire inspiration for this language amounts to "So welcome would have been wilcome?  Also, what would people use instead of they and their?"  Of course, there would be other changes to English besides just lexical, since the reason English lost gender is due to the genders often being different in Old Norse, and English is also syntactically very similar to Scandinavian languages (although it was never as syntactically similar to German and Dutch as many people seem to think.  Continential West Germanic has something else going on).
