Classification and DialectsEdit

It is in the Jeqoskhun language family along with the more widely spoken language Hoskh. Based on reconstructions of Proto-Jeqoskhun, it is much more conservative than Hoskh, although it includes innovations such as nasal vowels, bilabial rather than labiodental trills, inital voicing of some consonants, allophonic retroflex consonants, and the affricate /p͡f/.
